Black Restaurant Week was conceived by Tiffany in January 2006. Her concept was to bring Black Professionals together in a networking atmosphere to enjoy little known Black Owned Restaurants and/or Black Executive Chefs in the DC Metropolitan area. She thought that she would have the most terrible time finding these fine dining establishments, but surprisingly the list was long.

She brought her first pre-launch Black Restaurant Week event to the DC area on April 12, 2008, at the Meridian Restaurant + Bar, (Black Owned and Black Executive Chef). It is her sincerest hopes that she will be able to bring Black Restaurant Week to every major metropolis in the world. But Tiffany is happy with one city at a time.
